The UFC is going back to Dallas. The promotion announced on Saturday, October 24, 2026, that it will hold a UFC Fight Night at American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas, on Saturday, January 16, 2027. It will be the UFC's first event in the city since July 2022.

The UFC revealed the event on X with the message "When the dust settles … we land in Texas," tagged #UFCDallas, and confirmed that the card will stream live on Paramount+. No fights have been announced yet, and UFC.com currently lists the event as "TBD vs TBD".

What is confirmed

  • Event: UFC Fight Night (main event TBA)
  • Date: Saturday, January 16, 2027
  • Venue: American Airlines Center, Dallas, Texas
  • Main card start: 8:00 p.m. ET, according to UFC.com (04:00 Moscow time on January 17)

The American Airlines Center's event page lists a 4:00 p.m. local start, with doors opening at 2:30 p.m., and says the on-sale date has not been announced yet. On UFC.com, tickets are shown as not yet available. Fans can register for presale access at UFC.com/Dallas.

According to The Dallas Morning News, which was told about the event by the UFC, the main event will be announced later and tickets will go on general sale on Friday, November 20, via Ticketmaster. The UFC has not yet confirmed that date on its own channels.

Dallas history

The last UFC event in Dallas was UFC 277 on July 30, 2022, headlined by the Amanda Nunes vs Julianna Pena bantamweight title rematch. Nunes won by unanimous decision to win back the women's bantamweight championship. WFAA and The Dallas Morning News report that 19,442 fans attended, and an arena representative confirmed to WFAA that UFC 277 remains the highest-grossing single-night event in American Airlines Center history.

WFAA says the UFC also held events in Dallas in 2015, 2017 and 2018.

Who could fight in Dallas?

No bouts have been confirmed. WFAA suggested that the UFC could build part of the card around local fighters, naming Allen, Texas, native Bo Nickal, who won on the UFC's Freedom 250 card at the White House in June. That is speculation for now, and neither Nickal nor the UFC has commented.

Busy start to 2027

The Dallas card is two weeks before UFC 336 at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto on January 30, 2027. That event is headlined by Joshua Van vs Manel Kape for the flyweight title, with Carlos Prates vs Michael Morales for the interim welterweight title in the co-main event, according to the UFC.

POP MMA will update this story when the UFC announces the Dallas main event and other fights.
