UFC 333 weigh-ins complete: both title fights official, Caliari only miss as Lucindo bout goes ahead

Volkanovski, Evloev, Yan and Dvalishvili all made weight in Abu Dhabi, and Kuniev came in at 265. Nicolle Caliari missed by 4.5 pounds and forfeits 30 percent of her purse to Iasmin Lucindo.

Both championship fights at UFC 333 are official. Featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski and undefeated challenger Movsar Evloev made weight at Friday's official weigh-ins in Abu Dhabi, as did bantamweight champion Petr Yan and Merab Dvalishvili, ahead of Saturday's card at Etihad Arena on Yas Island. The only miss came on the early prelims, where strawweight Nicolle Caliari came in 4.5 pounds heavy. Her fight with Iasmin Lucindo will still go ahead.

Title fights locked in

Volkanovski weighed 144.5 pounds and Evloev weighed 145 pounds for the five-round main event. Both needed to be at 145 pounds or less for the title fight. MMA Junkie confirmed that both men made the limit, and MMA Fighting reported that the featherweight championship main event is official.

In the co-main event, Yan and Dvalishvili both weighed 135 pounds, the bantamweight championship limit, which makes their trilogy official. Yan won the rematch by decision at UFC 323 in December to become a two-time champion, and each man now holds one win in the series. According to UFC.com, Evloev is the No. 1-ranked featherweight contender and Dvalishvili is the No. 1 bantamweight contender.

Caliari misses weight, fight stays on

Nicolle Caliari weighed 120.5 pounds for her strawweight bout against Iasmin Lucindo, who came in at 115. That put Caliari 4.5 pounds over the 116-pound non-title strawweight limit. According to UFC.com, Caliari forfeits 30 percent of her purse to Lucindo and the fight proceeds as scheduled. MMA Fighting reported that the bout will take place at a catchweight.

Other main card weights

Flyweight Lone'er Kavanagh weighed 125.5 pounds for his fight with Ramazan Temirov (126). Heavyweight Alexander Volkov came in at 256 pounds, and his opponent Rizvan Kuniev weighed 265 pounds, under the 266-pound limit for a non-title heavyweight fight. On the prelims, Dominick Reyes weighed 205 pounds for his light heavyweight bout with Azamat Murzakanov (206). Bantamweight Asaf Chopurov weighed 136 pounds for his early prelim against Colby Thicknesse (135.5), the limit for a non-title bantamweight fight. With Kuniev on weight, all 28 fighters have weighed in, and Caliari was the only one to miss.
