Reigning ONE strawweight Muay Thai world champion Prajanchai Pongsuphan PK returns from injury to headline The Inner Circle 35 against former ONE world title challenger Wang Junguang on Friday, October 16, at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, ONE Championship announced. The card streams in Asian primetime on live.onefc.com.

Prajanchai's comeback

Prajanchai vs Wang Junguang is the Thai star's first fight since his ONE strawweight kickboxing title reign ended. According to ONE, Prajanchai holds a 344-53 record. He won the kickboxing belt in 2024 by beating Jonathan Di Bella, becoming a two-sport champion, but Di Bella reclaimed the title in their five-round rematch at ONE Fight Night 36. With the series at 1-1, Prajanchai underwent surgery and spent the following year rebuilding. ONE noted that a win could set up a trilogy with Di Bella.

Wang's return after six years

Wang, a former Enfusion world champion from Henan, China, debuted in ONE in 2019 with a first-round TKO of Federico Roma, which earned him a shot at the inaugural ONE strawweight kickboxing title. He lost that fight over five rounds to Sam-A Gaiyanghadao at ONE: Mark of Greatness. After a split-decision loss to Aslanbek Zikreev in 2020, he left the promotion and, per ONE, kept winning abroad. His return to the global stage has been nearly six years in the making.

Johan Ghazali vs Diego Paez rematch

Flyweight Muay Thai fighters Johan Ghazali and Diego Paez meet again after Paez won their first fight by split decision at ONE Fight Night 32. Paez has had three straight split-decision fights in ONE, including a narrow loss to Black Panther in April.

Ghazali, 19, followed the Paez loss with a first-round TKO of Zakaria El Jamari and a decision over Ye Yint Naung, but then lost to Shimon Yoshinari and Ramadan Ondash. He has five knockouts on the global stage, according to ONE, and is looking to end a two-fight skid.

Teen rivalry

The card also features a grudge match between 16-year-olds Olivia Bahsous and Malia Weaver, whose rivalry played out on social media before the bout was made official. Bahsous, a three-time IFMA junior world champion from Canada, is 17-1 after stopping Phontip Khlongtoeiyouthcenter and Nonglek Krudamgym in a combined 5:17. Weaver, an American who has trained at Fairtex in Pattaya, makes her ONE debut with a 14-1 record and a 2024 TBA Classic title. ONE reported that Weaver has vowed to "humble" the Canadian.
