Liz Carmouche vs Jena Bishop will crown the first PFL women's flyweight world champion in the main event of PFL Chicago on Friday, October 16, at Wintrust Arena in Chicago. The main card airs in the U.S. on ESPN2 and ESPN Deportes at 11 p.m. ET, with the early card on the ESPN App from 6 p.m. ET, according to the PFL.

A rematch with a belt on the line

Carmouche (26-8), ranked No. 2, is a former Bellator champion and the 2025 PFL World Tournament champion. The PFL notes she competed in the UFC's first women's fight in 2013, served five years in the U.S. Marine Corps and has won 13 of her last 14 bouts.

Bishop (11-3), ranked No. 4, is an IBJJF No-Gi world champion and ADCC veteran. The two met in the 2025 tournament final, and Bishop has since won twice by first-round submission.

Khizriev returns

In the co-main event, unbeaten featherweight Timur Khizriev (18-0) fights for the first time following what the PFL described as a lengthy recovery from an armed attack and a broken hand. The 2024 PFL featherweight tournament champion rematches Gabriel Braga (17-3), a former PFL finalist and three-time playoff semifinalist, after Khizriev won their first fight by split decision.
